Alaska’s Tribal Administrator Association is offering a statewide symposium with Alaska Tribal Administrators in Anchorage, Alaska on April 19-21 at the Anchorage Marriott Downtown.
The ATAA Symposium: Sharing our Experiences will have as our guests, State of Alaska Lt. Governor Byron Mallott, Samuel Johns, and Master of Ceremonies Jack Dalton.
The Alaska Tribal Administrators Association is a non-profit organization established in 2015 to support Alaska’s Tribal administrators, general managers, executive directors, presidents and Tribal council members.
The ATAA Symposium: Sharing Our Experiences was developed provide a collaborative atmosphere of knowledge sharing and professional support among Alaska’s Tribal administrators. ATAA recognized a great need for ongoing Tribal administrative support that many Tribal leaders in rural villages simply do not have access to.
Our goal is for ATAA overall, is to provide opportunities for mentorship, staff development, and idea sharing for Tribal program funding opportunities and services. The aim of the ATAA symposium is to offer concrete models and examples of effective Tribal administration practices with the aim of improving greater local self-governance, community sustainability, and leadership.
