For the second time in a month, a man has been pushed into the path of a subway train. This time the pusher was a woman.
Witnesses informed police that a heavy-set, 5 foot 5 woman, possibly hispanic and in her twenties, had been pacing on the platform prior to the incident, then sat down, only to get up again as the train approached. As the subway got closer, mumbling to herself, she followed close behind the yet unidentified man then shoved him into the path of the oncoming subway train. The incident occurred on an elevated platform of a number 7 train in Queens about 8pm on Thursday night. It is unkown if the two knew each other, but witnesses say the two never spoke before the man was pushed and he seemed to be unaware of the presence of the woman.
The woman, was dressed in a blue, white and gray ski jacket and was wearing Nike shoes with gray on top and red on the bottom.
The unidentified women fled the scene after pushing the man. Police have released a short video of the woman captured as she fled the subway station. The image shows her running past a Pizzeria surveillence near the station.
Earllier this month, another man, Ki-Suk Han was pushed from the platform at the 49th Street Station into the path of the Q train. That incident occcurred on December 3rd. A 30-year-old Deli worker was recently arrested for that crime.
It is not known if anyone attempted to save the man in this most recent incident, in the earlier, no one attempted to assist the man who was shoved off the platform.
