APD Investigates Shooting at Sunday Mountain View Party

APD says no arrests have been made and the motive is unclear in the early morning shooting at a large party on the 800-block of North Lane  in Mountain View on Sunday morning.

Police say that when officers were responding to the multiple calls made at 1:48 am on Sunday, they “saw a vehicle pull up to a hospital and unload an adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.” When the people in the vehicle were questioned, they told officers that the victim had been wounded at the North Lane location.

Officers report that when they arrived at the shooting scene, they recovered several spent shell casings outside of the apartment. While most of the people present at the time of the incident had already left the scene, investigators were able to make contact with some of the party-goers. Those witnesses said that there were at least two dozen attendees at the party when at least two suspects opened fire outside of the residence.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]No arrests have been made.  The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.  There is no suspect information to release at this time.  Anyone who was at the party or witnessed the shooting, who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to call Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1).  To remain anonymous you may contact Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or online at www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.
