Police have ruled out the man crying in the hallway as a suspect or person of interest. His name was not released.

Police say that drugs or alcohol was not a factor in the killings. It has been discovered that McKay had a recent serious injury that put him in the hospital, but, it is not known to have been a factor either.

Emily and McKay had been married only for a year. Emily had another child, a boy from a previous relationship. Although images showed that the boy was present just the day before, he was not at the hotel when the shootings occurred.
