Burglar Found Hiding in Shed after Car Chase, Fleeing on Foot

Alaska State Troopers responded to a burglary in progress call at a South Paddock Drive residence at 11:30 pm on Thursday night, but as they were responding the burglary suspect reportedly left the scene, it was reported in the trooper dispatch.

Troopers would locate the suspect in his vehicle near South Abby Blvd and Fairview Loop and attempted to pull him over. But, the suspect, later identified as 46-year-old Daniel Martin of Eagle River, sped away from the troopers as they took up pursuit.

The car chase would soon come to an end as Martin’s vehicle got stuck on an ATV trail. But, Martin was not yet ready to give up, and fled on foot from the pursuing troopers.

“Troopers and Wasilla Police Department Officers tracked Martin and located him in a shed approximately 2 miles from the vehicle,” the trooper dispatch reported online.[xyz-ihs snippet=”adsense-body-ad”]The investigation revealed that Martin had entered two different properties, and broke into two sheds on those properties and stole several items.
