At 1:43 am on Monday, troopers received a call reporting that a suspicious person attempted to enter the vehicle of a person stopped on the highway to avoid hitting a dog.

In another incident along the highway, the same person entered a residence in the area and told the residents there that “he needed to baptize the occupants because the end was coming,” troopers reported.

A search of the area by troopers was unsuccessful.

Later in the day, at 11:31 am, Alaska State Troopers received a call from the Delta Medical Clinic. Clinic personnel reported that a man was smoking in the men’s restroom of the clinic. When troopers responded to the clinic, their investigation revealed that a 37-year-old man had started a small fire in the restroom’s sink and had also broke the paper towel dispenser.

The man, who troopers declined to identify, was transported to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for evaluation.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
