Elderly Oregon Woman Dies from Injuries in Sunday Palmer Wasilla Highway Crash

image08-04-2015 09.03.54Troopers reported via the trooper dispatch that a 78-year-old female passenger in a 2015 Ford Taurus, that was involved in a serious accident on the Palmer Wasilla Highway and Vroman Road on Sunday afternoon, has succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.

78-year-old Betty Erps of Oregon was a passenger in the vehicle driven by 88-year-old Glen Erps, when a 1990 Oldsmobile Silhouette van, driven by 22-year-old Brandon Wolsterman, crossed over the centerline and crashed headlong into the Erps.

As a result of the collision, all people in the Taurus as well as Wolsterman and a passenger in the van, were transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Another passenger in the van was air-medevaced to an Anchorage hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers say the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Online court records show that on September 27th, Brandon Wolsterman was charged with two felonies, Possession of a Controlled Substance IV and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
