Troopers received the report from a residence on Chena Pump Road at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, but found that Carlson had fled the scene prior to their arrival. Troopers issued a “12-hour Probable Cause Locate” for Carlson.
The troopers did not have long to wait before Cartlson turned up. At 10:30 pm, the victim reported to troopers that Carlson had returned to the residence. Troopers responded and placed Carlson under arrest.
Troopers reported via trooper dispatch, that during the interview with Carlson, Carlson kicked the trooper in the chest, leading to further charges.
As the investigation continued, it was found that Carlson had been convicted of a prior assault in the previous 10 years.
Also, on-line court records reveal that Carlson had also been convicted of Escape in 1997 as well as Misconduct involving weapons in 2012. In the 2012 case, Carlson had assault charges dropped in a plea agreement.
