Anchor Point Troopers arrested a suspect in a Sexual Abuse of a Minor case that was reported in late January concerning a Fairbanks juvenile that was staying with family friends in Homer during that time, troopers reported in the trooper dispatch.

During the investigation by Anchor Point State Troopers and the Fairbanks unit of the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, the pre-teen juvenile identified Cim J. Blair age 34, of Homer as the man that had abused her.

Following the months-long investigation, troopers referred the charge of Sexual Abuse of a Minor to the District Attorney’s office and the office requested troopers arrest Blair on one count of SAM I on June 8th.

When troopers went to Blair’s residence to take him into custody, Blair successfully evaded the arresting officers by fleeing into the woods.

Following his flight, troopers enlisted the assistance of Homer Police, and with their help, and tips from the public, Blair was located by authorities on Friday afternoon at 3:34 pm at a Kay Court residence in Homer.

When located, Blair gave up with no further resistance. He is being held at the Homer Jail on the charge with no bail set.

Blair is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday morning in Homer Court. An earlier case of Failure to Register as a Sexual Offender from February was also re-opened. Blair has a prior out-of-state conviction for sex crimes.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
