Homer Man jailed Following Anchor Point Burglary/Bear Spray Attack

The trooper dispatch reported on a burglary case in Anchor Point that included assault that occurred on Tuesday morning on Stovall Avenue.

According to the report, at 9:30 am on Tuesday troopers responded to a residence on Stovall Avenue and opened an investigation following a report from that address. They found that 40-year-old Roy Burke, of Homer “entered the residence without permission” and while there used pepper spray on several people in the residence. Following his bear spray attack, Burke proceeded to take items from the residence before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

The investigation found that Burke was on conditions of release in a drug possession case.

A warrant was issued for Burke’s arrest and he was contacted and placed under arrest later the same day and transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on one count of Burglary I, three counts of Assault IV, and one count of Theft IV.[xyz-ihs snippet=”adsense-body-ad”]The following day, Burke was further charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Improper Use of Reg/Title/Plates and an additional count of Theft IV.

Following his arraignment on Wednesday, Burke is scheduled for further court proceedings later this month.
