LifeMed Medevacs Rafter from Crow Pass Trail

lifemedAlaska State Troopers report that a LifeMed helicopter was called in to the Crow Pass Trail on Sunday evening to medevac an injured rafter after he received injuries on the Eagle River.

A call went in to the troopers at 8:13 pm on Sunday by 44-year-old Michael McNeil reporting that while he and his hiking party were hiking the Crow Pass Trail, they came across an injured male, who was later identified as 40-year-old Josh Love of Anchorage, near where the trail crosses the Eagle River.

According to the trooper dispatch, Love has suffered injuries when his pack raft flipped on the river.

Because of his injuries, Love was unable to hike out of the area. LifeMed was called in, they located Love, and transported him to the Providence Hospital where he received medical treatment for his injuries.
