Loud Exhaust Results in Felony Weapons/Drug Arrest

Troopers report that on September 19th, an Alaska State Trooper on patrol pulled over a vehicle at mile 95  of the Sterling Highway for an equipment violation for a loud exhaust.

When the trooper pulled over 33-year-old Christopher Overhuls that afternoon, AST would find that Overhuls was a felon in possession of a  concealed firearm. Further investigation of Overhul’s vehicle would find that he was also in possession of heroin.

As a result, Overhuls was transported to Kenai and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons III, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV, and probation violations.
