Palmer Woman Arrested on Felony DUI, Child Endangerment Charges

DUI_Patrol_02Troopers arrested a Palmer woman on charges of Felony DUI, Child Endangerment, and Driving While License Revoked after responding to a disturbance on Sunday evening, trooper dispatch reports.

Troopers responded to a disturbance called in at 4:53 pm on Sunday near Farm Loop in Palmer according to troopers. When they arrived, they contacted the suspect, later identified as 43-year-old Tanya Hicks of Palmer, as she was attempting to flee the scene in her green 1999 Buick Sedan.

The investigation at the scene found that Hicks was driving highly intoxicated with a four-year-old child in the vehicle. She was also found to be driving with a license revoked for a previous DUI.

Troopers arrested Hick and transported her to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where she was remanded on charges of Felony DUI, DWLR, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child I. Her bail was set at $5,000 and a Court Approved Third Party Custodian.
