Alaska State Troopers report that the remains of a Wrangell man, last heard from on November 5th, have been located.

The body 53-year-old Kenneth Trammel, who was reported overdue on November 15th, was found floating in Earl West Cove, 12 air miles to the southeast of Wrangell on Wednesday. No sign of his vessel, the 38-foot Bayliner “Thalassa,” have been found.

The search for the missing man was taken up by the U.S. Coast Guard, Wrangell Fire Department and numerous Good Samaritans, the troopers reported.

Trammel was five days overdue when he was reported as missing on Sunday. He was scheduled to return to Wrangell on November 10th.

Trammel’s remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage for autopsy.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
