Soldotna Man Kicks out Patrol Car’s Divider after Arrest

domestic violenceDisorderly Conduct after his arrest caused a Soldotna man to be remanded without bail after his arrest following a disturbance call to troopers on Tuesday night.

A disturbance call was received from a Sterling Highway home in Soldotna at 11:15 pm on Tuesday night prompting troopers to respond, the trooper dispatch reported on Thursday.

When troopers investigated at the scene, they discovered that 42-year-old Ricky Echuck had been drinking, and during that time, assaulted a family member at the home.

After contacting Echuck, troopers placed him under arrest for the assault. While transporting Echuck to Wildwood, Echuck became belligerent and kicked through the divider in the patrol vehicle transporting him. Troopers brought him under control through the use of OC spray.

Echuck was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility and charged with Assault III DV, Assault IV DV, and Disorderly Conduct.

He was held without bail.
