Troopers Arrest Boys and Girls Club Burglar

burglary investigationAlaska State Troopers located and arrested Wasilla man, 34-year-old Lance D. Larue for Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief charges after an almost two month investigation into a burglary on West Riggs Circle.

It was on Februiary 2nd, 2015 just after noon that troopers responded to a burglary at a West Riggs address. When they arrived at the scene they found that someone had forced entry into the residence and stole approximately $5,000 worth of tools.

As their investigation into the burglary continued, troopers served a search warrant at a residence on Tambert Drive in Wasilla on February 26th, and recovered multiple stolen items. It was at that time that troopers identified Larue as a suspect in the case.

Through the investigation, Larue was also linked to a burglary that took place at the Boys and Girls Club of Alaska in Wasilla where at least $1,000 worth of damage was done to the club and $100 worth of fuel was stolen.

On Saturday, troopers with the Criminal Suppression Unit went to a residence on Birch Cove Drive in Wasilla, where they located Larue. Larue was promply arrested and charged with Burglary I, Theft II, Criminal Mischief III, and Theft IV.

Troopers transported Larue to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded with no bail.
