Troopers Arrest Kodiak Man for Beating Victim with Rifle Butt

image23-04-2015 08.08.46At 2:34 pm on Monday, troopers responded to Neva Way in Kodiak after receiving a report of an assault at that location.

When they arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, the investigation resulted in the arrest of Kodiak resident, 48-year-old Rome Kamai on charges of Assault III.

The responding troopers reported that alcohol was a factor when Kamai assaulted 20-year-old James Amox using the butt of a rifle to strike Amox multiple times.

Amox was transported by EMS to the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, while Kamai was transported to the Kodiak Jail where he was remanded without bail.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
