Troopers Investigate Homicide at Remote Southeast Cabin

alaska crimew-cuffsAfter the United States Coast Guard relayed information that there was a deceased male at a remote cabin in Excursion Inlet, 35 miles to the west of Juneau, Alaska State and Wildlife Troopers responded to the scene where an unidentified man was placed under arrest, the trooper dispatch revealed on Tuesday morning.

Troopers have not revealed the name of the victim or the suspect in the case that was initiated on Sunday night. The victim’s next of kin have been notified of the incident, and homicide charges have been filed troopers state.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation has responded to the scene from Anchorage to assist in the on-going investigation.

Update: On Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers revealed the name of the suspect charged with the homicide as 53-year-old Mark De Simone of Juneau, he has been arrested on Murder I charges.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
