Alaska State Troopers revealed on Thursday that they contacted and arrested a Kodiak man on warrants as he was disembarking from a boat in Kodiak on Monday.

Alaska State Troopers, Wildlife Troopers and Kodiak police met 49-year-old Darin Wolfe as he arrived in Kodiak on a fishing vessel after receiving a tip late the night before informing the departments that he would be arriving in the port.

Wolfe was arrested on two bench warrants totaling $7,500 regarding his failure to comply with conditions of adult probation for a case in January of 2014. In that case, Wolfe had been accused of pouring gasoline over a man at a trailer that police had previously searched for drugs in an unrelated case. 

The victim in that case alleged that as he left the trailer in pants and slippers, Wolfe doused him with gasoline and had what appeared to be a lighter in his hand. The victim told police that he feared for his life and fled. When police responded, they located the victim in a nearby vehicle with his family.

The residents of the trailer told police when asked, that Wolfe was not at the trailer. Police were granted search warrants and after entering the trailer, discovered Wolfe hiding under a pile of clothes.

Wolfe was originally charged with Attempted Murder and Assault I. But, after a June 2014 plea agreement, Wolfe was convicted of Assault II. In January of 2015, Wolfe was again in court. This time accused of Assault II, Cruelty to Animals and Assault IV. In another plea agreement, Wolfe was convicted of Assault IV. By December 2015, Wolfe was wanted on warrants to revoke his probation.

Wolfe was arraigned on Tuesday in Kodiak Court on a petition to revoke his probation, and is currently in custody at the Kodiak Jail with his bail set at $7,500.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
