Wanted Driver Takes Soldotna Troopers on Chase

On Wednesday night, Soldotna-based Alaska State troopers attempted to pull over the driver of a 1999 Volkswagen traveling on Gaswell Road who was known by troopers to have an outstanding arrest warrant, but instead of stopping the driver sped off.

The driver of the vehicle, identified by troopers as Dakota Lynn McAdoo, age 25, took troopers on a chase until spike strips were deployed. The strips quickly brought the pursuit to an end.

McAdoo was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear for arraignment on the original charges of Theft IV and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Following this most recent incident, McAdoo was additionally charged with Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer I, and Assault III for “placing his passenger in fear of physical injury by his reckless driving.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]McAdoo was transported to Kenai where he was remanded to the  Wildwood Pretrial Facility on the new charges and warrant.
