Wasilla Kidnapper Takes Troopers on Car Chase

domestic violenceDuring the early morning hours of Monday, Alaska State Troopers in Wasilla responded to a call reporting “Burglary, Kidnapping, Assault, and Attempted Sexual Assault” at a Fairview Loop residence in Wasilla.

The caller, who phoned in to the troopers at 1 am on Monday morning, stated that a man identified as Jordan King had “broke into her house, struck her on the head with a handgun, attempted to sexually assault her and restrained her from leaving the residence,” according to the trooper dispatch.

Troopers report that the victim managed to escape from King and flee the residence. After the victim fled,, King stole the woman’s vehicle and also fled the scene.

Troopers caught up to King on Knik-Goose Bay Road and attempted to perform a stop. But, King accelerated away from the troopers, driving recklessly as authorities gave chase.

A short time late, King crashed the stolen vehicle in an embankment, and with the help of Wasilla police, troopers took King into custody.

King was transported to Palmer, where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on charges of Burglary I (DV), Kidnapping (DV), Assault II (DV), Attempted Sexual Assault I (DV), Vehicle Theft I, Theft III, Failure to Stop at Direction of Peace Officer I, and Reckless Driving.
