Wasilla Man Found Guilty on 13 Counts in Palmer Sex Crimes Trial

samFollowing a two-week trial, a Palmer jury found Wasilla man, 28-year-old Dylan Paul guilty on several sex crimes on Wednesday.

A guilty verdict was handed down on charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Sexual Assault II, two counts of Sexual Assault III, a count of Unlawful Exploitation of a Minor, and nine counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

The case against Paul was opened in January of 2014 after the Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Mat-Su Valley Child Abuse Investigation Unit received information that a juvenile female had been sexually abused  eight months earlier in April of 2013. 

As the investigation progressed, others came forward and corroborated the allegations and additional juveniles were identified as potential victims, the trooper dispatch reported.

Paul was arrested in October of 2014 and charges were leveled at him. He was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and had his bail set at $50,000 and a Court-Approved Third Party Custodian.

Paul was previously out on bail, but, records show that he is currently in custody.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
