Body of Ketchikan Woman Found Floating in Tongass Narrows

Alaska State Troopers are seeking information from the public in a case of a body discovered floating in the Tongass Narrows early on Thursday morning.

Alaska State Troopers received a report of a body floating in the Narrows about a quarter mile from the Coast Guard base in Ketchikan at 1 am on Thursday morning. The body was retrieved by the AST with the assistance of the Coast Guard.

The remains were identified as those of 34-year-old Angeline Tanya Dundas of Ketchikan. Troopers have not released any information as to how long she has been missing. 

Dundas’s last Facebook posting was on June 27th.

The State Medical Examiner’s office was notified and an autopsy will be performed to determine her cause of death. Her next of kin has been notified of her death.
