Coast Guard Suspends Search For Man Overboard 900 Miles Southeast Of Kodiak

KODIAK, Alaska — The Coast Guard suspended the search Sunday at 8 p.m. for a man who fell overboard from the 936-foot Korean-flagged container vessel Mol Explorer 900 miles southeast of Kodiak Saturday.

KODIAK, Alaska — The Coast Guard is searching for a crewman reported overboard from a 964-foot Korean-flagged container ship 900 miles southeast of Kodiak Island Saturday.

U.S. commercial fishermen landed 8.2 billion pounds of seafood in 2010, valued at $4.5 billion, an increase of 200 million pounds and more than $600 million in value over 2009, according to a new report released today by NOAA.
