An investigation of the crash revealed that as 30-year-old Anchorage resident Brian Buckley was driving southbound in his Dodge pickup on the Parks Highway near mile 91, he lost control of his vehicle and crossed over into the oncoming lane.
When he crossed into the northbound lane, he struck a 1986 Subaru wagon driven by 54-year-old Johnny Yow.
The drivers of the two vehicles were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Troopers state that no-use of seat belts may have been a factor in James Yow’s death.
