Troopers Arrest Woman on Multiple Charges after Assault in Lower Kalskag

rural trooperAfter receiving a report of an assault in the community of Lower Kalskag, troopers based in Aniak responded to the community via boat to investigate on SUnday at 1:45 pm.

When they arrived, they found that 18-year-old Lower Kalskag resident, Marlene Evan had assaulte another adult female in the community. After they assault, the troopers found that Evan had then gone to a residence that the victim was in the process of moving into and “caused damage to the building and belongings inside,:” the trooper dispatch reported.

Troopers contacted Evan, when they did so, they found that Evan was intoxicated. She was also in possession of “marijuana while under the age of 21.”

Troopers placed Evan under arrest and transported her to Aniak, where she was arraigned on charges of Burglary II, Assault IV-DV, Criminal Mischief  IV, MCA and MICS VI.

Evan was further transported to Bethel, where she was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center.
