Troopers Catch Fairbanks Burglars Red-Handed

burglary investigationAlaska State Troopers responded to the scene of a burglary taking place in Fairbanks on Sunday and with the assistance of K9 “Skippy,” arrested two.

A call went in to troopers at 10:54 pm on Sunday night reporting a burglary in progress at a residence on Crestline Drive in Fairbanks. The caller reported to troopers that the homeowners were not home, and they had seen flashlights in the residence, as well had seen the suspects tampering with a vehicle parked at the house.

When troopers responded to the location, they observed flashlights still lit inside the home. With the aid of “Skippy,” troopers were able to locate and arrest the two suspects inside the residence.

Troopers report that they arrested 40-year-old Andrew Towse and 49-year-old Michael Meath on charges of Burglary I and Attempted Vehicle Theft I. Both were transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where they were remanded without bail pending arraignment.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
