On Monday the Wasilla High School briefly went into lock-down after a young man who was being sought was located behind the school in a church parking lot, according to the trooper dispatch.

Troopers were called to Avalon Circle to conduct a welfare check on 19-year-old Christopher Fritzler. Troopers were initially unable to locate the young man as they conducted the check at a residence on Avalon Circle.

It was later, at 1:48 pm that troopers were informed that Fritzler was in a church parking lot directly behind the Wasilla High School and the school bus loading zone, according to the trooper dispatch.

Armed with that information, the high school was placed on lock-down.

When Fritzler was contacted by Wasilla Police and Alaska State Troopers, he was found to have a loaded semi-automatic rifle in the vehicle with him.

Fritzler was arrested on charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons II and two counts of Assault III.

Fritzler was transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility and his bail was set at $50,000 and a Court Approved Third Party.
