Wasilla Woman Jailed after Second Contact with Authorities Sunday Morning

trooper crime sceneA Wasilla woman was jailed with her bail set at $3,500 after two brushes with the law on Sunday, the trooper dispatch revealed.

On Sunday morning, an Alaska Wildlife Trooper observed suspicious activity, and contacted the occupants of a vehicle parked near a Wasilla church, the trooper dispatch revealed. The officer had observed “a female in the vehicle preparing and then attempting to use a syringe containing suspected controlled substances,” it was reported.

The woman initially gave the wildlife trooper a false name when asked, but was later identified as 26-year-old Callie R. Rush, of Wasilla. When asked, Rush admitted that the syringe contained heroin and tests conducted in the field confirmed the fact.

As the investigation continued, troopers would discover that Rush had been stopped by Wasilla police earlier Sunday morning. During that stop, she had also given officers a false name in an effort to evade an active $1,500 warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Theft III.

Rush was arrested on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV, False Information x2, and the $1,500 warrant. She was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where she was remanded on the charges with her bail set at $3,500.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
