Thursday Morning Earthquake Occurs on Southern Kenai Peninsula

At 9:33 AM on Thursday the population of South Central Alaska on the southern Kenai Peninsula we’re jolted by a brief earthquake that occurred 44 miles South of Seward.

The quake occurred at a depth of 13.5 miles at a magnitude of 5.6.

The brief shake generated no tsunami warning, advisory, watch, or threat according to tsunami.Gov.

No damages or injuries were reported as a result of the earthquake.
