Troopers Nab Kansas Fugitive from Justice in Kenai Spur Traffic Stop

fugitiveOn Saturday, at 4:34 am, troopers pulled over a maroon 1988 Chevy truck for a moving violation, but the driver got more than a ticket, the trooper dispatch reported on Monday.

When pulled over, the driver of the vehicle “identified himself with a name that could not be located with the provided information,” troopers reported. Following the attempt at providing false information, troopers discovered in the vehicle, documents that identified the driver as 28-year-old Kansas resident Ruben M. Anchondo.

Further investigation found that Anchondo’s driver’s license was suspended for no proof of insurance in that state. Troopers also would find that Anchondo was wanted on two warrants from that state as well. “One $25,000 Warrant for indecent liberties and a second $100,000 Warrant for Aggravated Assault,” troopers revealed.

In Kansas, Indecent Liberties includes engaging in lewd fondling, touching, or sexual intercourse of/with a child older than 14 and younger than 16.

Anchondo was arrested and transported to Kenai, where he was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility there. He was booked on DWLS, False Report and Fugitive from Justice.

Following his arrest and remand, The Meade County, Kansas Sheriff’s department was contacted and arraignments were made for extradition to Kansas.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
