Willow Man Arrested on Assault and Weapons Charges after Parks Highway Shooting

image28-04-2014 14.44.40A Willow man was arrested on weapons and assault charges after an initial trooper investigation revealed that he has shot and wounded another Willow man on Wednesday morning.

Troopers responded to a residence near mile 83 of the  Parks Highway at 8:38 am on Wednesday and secured the scene after receiving a report of a shooting there. After their investigation at the scene, they found that 69-year-old Willow resident Lincoln Mark fired a weapon into a residence and hit fellow Willow resident 55-year-old Marvin Mandros.

Troopers would find that Mark fled the scene after firing the shot into the home. Troopers and ABI investigators tracked Mark down at a residence at mile 76 of the Parks Highway. 

The trooper dispatch reported that “After consultation with the District Attorney’s Office Mark was remanded on charges of MIW II x 2, Assault II, Assault III. He was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there.
