A Willow man was arrested on weapons and assault charges after an initial trooper investigation revealed that he has shot and wounded another Willow man on Wednesday morning.
Troopers responded to a residence near mile 83 of the Parks Highway at 8:38 am on Wednesday and secured the scene after receiving a report of a shooting there. After their investigation at the scene, they found that 69-year-old Willow resident Lincoln Mark fired a weapon into a residence and hit fellow Willow resident 55-year-old Marvin Mandros.
Troopers would find that Mark fled the scene after firing the shot into the home. Troopers and ABI investigators tracked Mark down at a residence at mile 76 of the Parks Highway.
The trooper dispatch reported that “After consultation with the District Attorney’s Office Mark was remanded on charges of MIW II x 2, Assault II, Assault III. He was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there.
