A Pinellas County Florida teen has confessed to a bizarre framing attempt of another teen, after it was reported by witnesses that he entered another teen’s vehicle and planted weapons and drugs on August 31st.
Although the reason for exacting revenge on the other teen who attended high school in Clearwater, Florida was not revealed, court records state that the 18-year-old boy broke into the victim’s vehicle and planted a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, a knife and 52 grams of marijuana. Police reported that the revolver had it’s serial number ground off.
After planting the items in the other teen’s vehicle, 18-year-old James Harrison had an acquaintance call in to crime stoppers and the school’s resource officer to report that they had seen the items in the victim’s car. This he did in an attempt to have the teen arrested and removed from the school.
Harrison, who graduated from the school three months ago, made a video-taped confession at the police station, police reported.
Harrison, who was arrested last week on four felonies in connection with the unsuccessful scheme, was released from custody on Saturday after posting a $55,000 bond.
