Alaska State Troopers report that after a nine month investigation into the death of 21-year-old North Pole resident Todd Nosal, they have made an arrest of a Fairbanks man on Murder charges.
Troopers arrested 23-year-old Yelisey Campbell on charges of Murder I on Thursday after he was indicted by a Fairbanks Grand Jury on Wednesday.
Nosal was found dead from a gunshot wound on the dike near the Tanana River on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2015. After the discovery of his remains, Nosal’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.
The investigation would find that Nosal was shot and killed by Campbell following a disturbance at Campbell’s home in Fairbanks.
Campbell was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded on charges of Murder I and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Campbell was arraigned in Fairbanks court on Thursday afternoon.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
