Three Soldotna men were arrested by troopers over the weekend following an investigation into “suspicious circumstances” of a vehicle on January 16th,
23-year-old Taylor Cunningham, 24-year-old Russell Self, and 23-year-old Cory Woodruff had been stopped in a 1994 Ford pick-up during a traffic stop by Soldotna police on January 16th, but were released from the scene following the traffic stop. Police in Soldotna contacted AST of the incident, spurring an investigation by troopers. Troopers would contact the three men that same day and determine that they were responsible for a burglary and theft in Sterling and stolen property was seized.
The investigation continued, and on Saturday, January 30th, troopers again contacted Cunningham and Self, this time at their residence, and served them with a search warrant. A search of the residence would uncover thousands of dollars of stolen property that were determined to be from multiple burglaries and a vehicle theft.
Following the search, Cunningham and Self were arrested and charged with “multiple counts of Burglary, Theft, Vehicle Theft, and Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance” counts, the trooper dispatch revealed. The two men were transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility, where they were remanded.
On Sunday, January 31st, Woodruff was contacted and arrested on single counts of Burglary I, Theft II, and Hindering Prosecution. He would join his accomplices at Wildwood.
All three men were held without bail awaiting arraignment.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
