Alaska State Troopers reported on Monday’s trooper dispatch that they arrested a Soldotna man two days after Mother’s Day for Domestic Violence Assault after he assaulted and dumped a bucket of human waste on his mother, causing injury, at a Delta Avenue residence.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 10th, at 5:48 am, troopers responded to the Delta Avenue address and conducted an investigation of the DV Assault. As a result, 24-year-old Dominique Essig was placed under arrest for Felony Assault (DV) and Harassment 1. Online court records show that he has four prior assault convictions.
Essig was taken to Kenai where he was remanded without bail at the Wildwood Pretrial Facility. He was arraigned on Wednesday on the charges and is due back in court on May 20th.
