A Saxman man was issued a summons to appear in Ketchikan court for negligent driving after inadvertently backing into a 15-year-old Ketchikan female on Thursday, the Alaska State troopers reported on Friday.
It was at 3:59 PM that the Alaska State troopers in Ketchikan were notified of a collision on the 2500 block of Killer Whale Avenue. When troopers arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they found that Robert Jackson, age 37 of Saxman,”was backing out of a driveway on the Killer Whale Avenue and and failed to see a 15-year-old female walking on the sidewalk at the end of the driveway,” the trooper dispatch revealed.
Troopers say “the female was struck at low speed and was pushed into the roadway.”
After bumping into the teen, Jackson stopped to render aid with the assistance of nearby family members. The teen reported minor pain, and so was transported to the Peace Health Ketchikan Medical Center for examination.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
