Troopers scooped up approximately one half pound of heroin and $23,000 in cash during a search warrant execution in Kenai and arrested two on Monday afternoon.

Alaska State Troopers and Kenai police executed a search warrant on a Kenai residence at 3 pm on Monday. During the service of the warrant, troopers contacted 42-year-old Corey Clifton in the residence. Further investigation would find that Clifton was wanted on an active arrest warrant for probation and parole violations in a previous 2014 case involving Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance II that was issued late last month.

While at the residence, authorities also contacted 20-year-old Yesenia Cisneros of Kenai. 

Both Clifton and Cisneros were charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Subgstance II and IV, Clifton was additionally arrested on his warrant.

Both suspects were remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai and held without bail pending arraignment.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
