FAIRBANKS-Doyon, the for-profit corporation for Alaska Natives in the interior Alaska region, is the state's largest private land-owner with 12.5 million acres. The corporation serves 18,000 shareholders in Alaska. Doyon is in the top ten Alaskan owned businesses, and owns more than a dozen businesses in the state and across the nation.
This summer, Doyon launched its direct deposit drive, the corporation is urging its shareholders to take advantage of this program to eliminate delays because of bad addresses and lost checks. As an incentive to take advantage of the program Doyon is offering a cash prize drawing for all shareholders that have an accurate, up to date address and a direct deposit application on file by August 31st, 2011. Shareholders that already have taken advantage of direct deposit are also eligible for the drawing.
The drawing will be held on September 23rd, 2011, individuals with bad addresses and direct deposit applications will not be eligible. Those eligible can win up to $4,000 in prizes.
