Sean Jeffers, the man awaiting trial in the 2010 murder of Bryan Richardson has new charges leveled at him in connection to the First Degree Murder case.
Jeffers, while incarcerated in the Fairbanks Correctional Facility, has been charged with assault and tampering with a witness in the case of the shooting of Richardson.
The new charges were filed last week, a witness has been named in the new charges. William Johnson Jr who is also a witness in the 2010 killing, was also incarcerated last fall.
In 2010, the charges contend, Jeffers approached Byran Richardson in the parking lot of Ivory Jacks and while Richardson was sitting in his vehicle, Jeffers fired one shot into Richardson’s chest killing him. Jeffer’s co-defendant, David Pfalmer, who plead guilty to third degree Felony Assault in the case, was accused of helping Jeffers kill Richardson. He will probably be compelled to testify against Jeffers in the up-coming trial in May.
Jeffers was appointed a Public Defender on these new charges. Jeffers was previously appointed attorney Jason Gazewood on the murder charges.
