Wasilla man with Warrants Picked up in KGB Traffic Stop Gains Drug/Contraband Charges

 

On Sunday evening troopers performed a traffic stop on Knik Goose Bay Road in Wasilla that resulted in AST arresting a Wasilla resident on multiple arrest warrants.

When troopers performed the traffic stop at 4:18 pm on Sunday they contacted the driver and identified him as 44-year-old Paul Sibley. Troopers would find that Sibley was wanted on warrants on the original charges of Assault III and IV x2, Criminal Mischief IV, and Violating Conditions of Release.

He would be arrested and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. But, his charges would not end there. As Sibley was being processed, correction officers would discover that he had heroin concealed on his person. He would be additionally charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV and Promoting Contraband I.

He was held without bail pending arraignment.
