Three mushers are moving up the coast to Shaktoolik so far this afternoon.

Dallas Seavey is in the front of the pack, with Burmeister in second. Aliy Zirkle is back behind in third. Burmeister pulled out of Unalakleet at 12:35 this afternoon, followed by Seavey at 12:41.But, Seavey quickly overtook and passed Burmeister. Zirkle stayed behind and didn’t leave until one minute after one this afternoon.

Burmeister is still running with 15 dogs. Dallas Seavey is down to 11, and Zirkle has 12 dogs in her team.

The Unalakleet to Shaktoolik run is approximately half the distance as last night’s run from Kaltak to the coast.
