Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) Report and immediately responded to the area of Mile 5 of the Knik Goose Bay Road Thursday night.
The caller reported seeing an intoxicated adult female having a child blow into the ignition interlock device installed in her vehicle so that she could drive. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the woman as 40-year-old Misty Michelle Danford of Wasilla.
On investigation of the incident involving Danford, she was found to be operating a vehicle while her license was suspended and was also driving under the influence.
Danford was arrested for DUI, Driving on a Suspended License and Endangering the Welfare of a Child II. She was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, her bail was set at $3,000.
Danford’s vehicle and child were released to a friend at her request.
