There was a floor vote that confirmed 87 appointees to various boards and commissions taken by the Legislature yesterday.
One of those appointees confirmed was Michael Geraghty, who was nominated to the post of Attorney General by Governor Parnell after John Burns resigned. He garnered a unanimous vote from the legislature to fill the seat he was nominated to after his predessessor left in early January.
Prior to his appointment, the Fairbanks born and raised Geraghty served as a uniform Law Commissioner to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws starting in 2005.
Geraghty is a partner in the Law firm DeLisio Moran Geraghty & Zobel, PC. He began working at the firm in 1979 specializing in litigation and appeals before state and federal courts.
Geraghty received his Undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaii, and graduated with a JD Cum Laude from the University of Santa Clara.
