Koniag, Inc announced its Class B shareholder dividend distribution today. This distribution is not available to its Class A shareholders.
Village Corporations and Class B shareholders will receive their allotted portion of shared resource development revenue from the Koniag regional corporation on June 29, 2012. These dollars are distributed to all regional corporations then one half is re-distributed to the village corporations and Class B shareholders.
This 7(j) distribution comes from revenue sharing under a provision in the Alaska Native Settlement Act that directs all corporations to share 70% of resource development revenues among the other regional corporations. Each regional corporation does not receive an equal share, instead, it receives its allottment based on the number of original shareholders enrolled at the time of the enactment.
This year’s distribution is $13.97 per share of Class B stock.
Koniag shareholders have until June 15, 2012 to send in a change of address and/or direct deposit information. or to submit any questions about the disbursment.
