The Alaska State Troopers in Emmonak were notified of an incident involving a weapon by the Emmonak Police Department Friday night.
It was reported that on Friday night, Emmonak resident, 40-year-old Jack E. Lamont, after drinking over a gallon of homebrew, created a disturbance at his residence. When Emmonak police responded to the disturbance, Lamont armed himself with a loaded rifle and threatened to use it.
Alaska State Troopers in Emmonak were notified of the incident and arrived to the scene and seized the weapon.

Lamont resisted arrest and a struggle ensued. After several attempts, Lamont was finally taken into custody. He was transported to Emmonak’s holding facility.
On Saturday, Lamont was arraigned in court. His bail was set at $5,000.
Lamont, as of this morning, is awaiting transport to Bethel to the Y-K correctional facility there.
