In the early morning hours on Saturday, at 1:48 am, Alaska State Troopers with the South Central Bureau of Highway Patrol conducted a stop at mile 33 of the Glenn Highway.

Troopers pulled over a Silver Pontiac Sedan for a moving violation.

It was found that the driver was impaired by alcohol.

While being interviewed, the driver, now identified as Frank J Olson, first gave the troopers a false name. He did so to cover up his history from the officers.

When his true identity was established, it was found that Olson had two prior Felony DUIs within the last ten years, and that his license was revoked until 2090. The presence of the two prior Felony DUIs makes this arrest a Felony DUI as well.

Additional investigation also uncovered an active parole warrant for Olson’s arrrest. The warrant was for a previous charge of Felony DUI and Driving with a Suspended License.

Another warrant, this one from Anchorage, also came to light. This warrant was for failure to appear on charges of Driving While License Revoked and No Insurance.

Olson was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on a $25,000 cash bail and court approved third party. Olson was also held without bail on the Parole Warrant, and was held on the $1,500 bail warrant out of Anchorage.
