Former president, Bill Clinton was met with overwhelming applause when he took the stage in Charlotte last night in support of President Obama.
Clinton came to the podium defending Obama and critisizing Romney on issues of job creation, healthcare, and foriegn policy and brought the crowd gathered there to their feet on several occasions. He showed the audience how it is done. Using common sense, a sense of humanity and a strong sense of passion, he related the president’s policy to the crowd eager for his every word.
He reminded the delegates and viewers across the nation that the Republicans, instead of working to better America, rather made it their priority to oust Obama from office, denying him a second term. “Their number one priority was not to put America back to work. It was to put the president out of work,” he said.

Clinton explained to the crowd that in order to better the living conditions of Americans, and the United States as a whole, the country needs to work together as Americans and not as two competing political parties, and reminded the American people that the country needs to walk the middle ground in order to succeed.
Clinton challenged America to make a choice this election cycle saying, “If you want a ‘winner take all, you’re on your own’ society, you should support the Republican ticket. But if you want a country of shared opportunities and shared responsibilities, a ‘we’re all in this together’ society, you should vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.”
President Obama entered the stage after Clinton’s speech and it was apparent that Obama was grateful for having the former president’s star-power in his corner. He gave the political superstar a hug as they left the stage together.
