A Lower Kalskag man was arrested and charged with several serious counts on Monday from an incident that occurred late last week in Lower Kalskag.
Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Sexual Assault in the community that lies on the north banks of the Kuskokwim River about 90 miles northeast of Bethel. The call came in at approximately 11 am on Thursday.

According to the trooper report in the incident, 27-year-old Lower Kalskag resident Dwight Littlefish had been drinking with an unidentified woman on Wednesday of last week. When the woman decided to leave the residence where they were drinking, Littlefish refused to let her go. He then physically assaulted her and attempted to strangle her.
The violence escalated and Littlefish sexually assaulted the woman.
The woman, who was transported to the hospital, was treated for her injuries there.
On Monday, Littlefish was arrested and charged with Kidnapping, Sexual Assault I, Sexual Assault II, Assault II, Assault III and Assault IV.
Littlefish was taken to the Alaska State Trooper post in Aniak and arraigned at Aniak District Court.
The bail for Littlefish was set at $500,000 plus a court approved third party custodian.
